16-07-24 Summer League Round 3

Karl Norris was top qualifier having 38 Laps followed by Simon Pole, Josh Flanagan, Benn Norris, and Justin Heath all with 37 Laps.

Yet another track design this week.

Finals

The “D Final was won by Kevin Flamson with 27 laps, Ian Craig took second place on 24 laps with Barry Thomas finishing third with 14.

Mike Simpson won the “C” Final with 31 laps, it was an extremely close race with the race order changing places several times. Paul Wallis finished second, Gaz de Roeck third and Jacob Milne fourth – all with 30 laps and separated by less than three seconds.

Dan Stones won the “B” Final with Guy Rogers just over three seconds adrift in second place, both drivers on 35 laps. Bob Harley was third and Ian Whiston fourth both with 33 Laps.

The “A” Final was as usual a tremendous race, Karl Norris was the winner, Simon Pole finished second and Josh Flanagan third, all three drivers with 37 Laps. Benn Norris took fourth place and Adam Hancock fifth both on 36 laps. Justin Heath was sixth with 35 laps.

09-07-24 Summer League Round 2

A different track design this week with three drivers having 34 laps after the three qualifying rounds. Karl Norris was quickest with Simon Pole in second place and Freddie Parker third.

Justin Heath, Chelle Snowden and Benn Norris were a lap down in fourth, fifth and sixth places.

Finals

Jacob Milne won the “D” Final being just ahead of second place driver Harry Cox racing for the first time at the Club. Barry Thomas was third.

The “C” Final was a close race with Kevin Morris taking the win ahead of Josh Freeman in second place, Mike Simpson was third.

Dan Stones was the winner of the “B” Final being just under a second ahead of Noah Bailey with Club Chairman Bob Harley finishing third, all three drivers on 32 laps.

The “A” Final was run at a very fast pace with Karl Norris winning yet again with 33 laps from pole position on the grid. A tremendous drive also from Benn Norris in taking second place after starting last on the grid, well done Benn!

Justin Heath was third, Simon Pole fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth and Freddie Parker sixth.

For the second week running a “Team Norris” First and second place in the “A” Final. Can they make it a hat-trick next week!!!!

02-07-24 July Clubnight

“Team “Norris” took the top two places after the three rounds of qualifying, Karl Norris was in first place with 41 laps and Benn Norris second on 40 laps, both drivers setting identical qualifying quickest lap times. Freddie Parker was third and Adam Hancock fourth both with 40 laps. A great performance also by Ian Whiston to take the remaining “A” Final place .

Finals

The “E” Final was won by Thomas Adkins. Darren Thomas was second, being the top “Team Thomas” driver this week with Barry Thomas finishing in third place five laps adrift.

James Adkins was quickest in the “D” Final, winning on 37 laps being a lap clear of Alex Forster in second place. Paul Wallis finished third.

Caleb Jones had a great win in the “C” Final with Steven Myall taking second place ahead of Peter Lax who had the quickest lap time of the race.

The “B” Final was great to watch, Noah Bailey had the quickest lap time and won the race with 39 laps. Dan Stones took second place on the same laps. Bob Harley was third.

Just the “A” Final to go – could “Team Norris” retain their grid positions to finish in first and second places? The answer was yes, Karl winning and Benn taking second place, both with 41 laps. Freddie Parker was third and Adam Hancock fourth, both on 40 laps. Ian Whiston was fifth with 39 laps. As usual a thrilling race the finish the evenings racing.

25-06-24 Summer League Round 1

The first round of the summer league, there were three drivers with 34 laps after the qualifying rounds. Karl Norris was the quickest, Freddie Parker second and Benn Norris third. Chelle Snowden had 33 laps followed by Richard Johnston and Nick Wallace on 32 laps.

Finals

Kevin Flamson was the winner of the “D” Final being five laps clear of second place driver Barry Thomas, Eric Enion finished third.

Mike Simpson won the “C” Final ahead of Josh Freeman in second place and Paul Wallis third.

Nick Wallace was the winner of the “B” Final, Bob Harley was second just under two seconds ahead of Steven Myall in third place.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final with 35 laps, Freddie Parker was second on 34 laps, Benn Norris third on 33 laps, Richard Johnston finished fourth and Chelle Snowden fifth.

18-06-24 Summer Trophy Meeting

Three rounds of qualifiers to decide the starting positions in the finals as usual with Karl Norris being quickest followed by Simon Pole, Josh Flanagan, Freddie Parker and Dan Stones, all making the “A” Final.

Finals

First up was the “D” Final, pole position driver Alex Forster had a problem with his car on the first lap of the race allowing Kevin Flamson to take the lead and with some consistent driving won the race. Alex finished in second place with Barry Thomas taking third ahead of Darren Thomas to be the top “Team Thomas” driver of the evening.

In the “C” Final all the drivers finished in there respective start grid positions. Nick Wallace winning, being a lap clear of Kevin Morris in second place with Mike Simpson third, a further lap adrift.

Benn Norris set the fastest lap-time of the race and won an exciting “B” Final by one second ahead of Guy Rogers with Sam Pope taking third place a lap down on the leaders.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final, being the only driver of the evening to achieve 40 laps. Simon Pole was second with 39 laps and Freddie Parker third with 38 laps. being just 0.5 seconds ahead of Josh Flanagan in fourth place with Dan Stones fifth. As usual a great race to watch.

Following the racing, trophies were presented by Chelle Snowden to the drivers in first, second and third places in all the finals.

11-06-24 Superleague Round 3

Karl Norris was the only driver to achieve 41laps after the three qualifying rounds, it was close though with Simon Pole, Josh Flanagan and Freddie Parker all on 40 laps.

Finals

Jacob Milne was quickest and won the “D” Final with 32 laps followed by Will Lacey on 30 laps and Joseph Norris a further two laps down.

Kevin Morris was the winner of the “C” Final having 37 laps with his new car. Peter Lax took second place with 36 laps and Mike Simpson was third on 35 laps.

A very competitive “B” final was won by Dan Stones on 38 laps, being two laps clear of both Tim Bailey in second place and Ian Whiston in third.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final from pole position having 40 laps. A great performance from Freddie Parker earned him second place with 39 laps ahead of Simon Pole and Josh Flanagan on 38 laps. Adam Hancock was fifth and Benn Norris sixth, both with 37 laps. An excellent race to conclude the evenings racing.

28-05-24 Spring League Round 9

The final round of the Spring League this week. Karl Norris was the fastest qualifier again having 43 laps with Simon Pole in second position on 42. There were four drivers with 41 Laps, Chelle Snowden, visiting driver Chris Ashton, Benn Norris and Freddie Parker completing the “A” Final line up.

Finals

The “D” Final was won by Ethan Wardle having 32 laps and being two laps ahead of second place driver Jacob Milne, Kevin Flamson took third place a further two laps down.

Mike Simpson won a very competitive “C” Final with 37 laps, Kevin Morris and Will Lacey finished in second and third places. both having 36 laps.

Noah Bailey had a great win in the “B” Final having 41 laps and being three laps clear of second and third place drivers Ian Whiston and Tim Bailey.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final with Simon Pole in second place and also setting the quickest lap time, both drivers having 42 laps. Chelle Snowden finished was third with 41 laps, Freddie Parker fourth on 40 laps, Benn Norris fifth with 39 laps and Chris Ashton sixth on 38 laps.

21-05-24 May Clubnight

Three qualifying rounds and a final as usual.

Karl Norris was the top qualifier followed by Simon Pole – both drivers with setting the fastest lap time of 9.95 seconds. Freddie Parker was third, Chelle Snowden fourth, Adam Hancock fifth and Benn Norris sixth.

Finals

Visiting driver Matthew Minto won the “D” Final by four laps. It was close for the next three places with Jacob Milne taking second place, Will Lacey third and Paul Wallis fourth – all on the same laps.

A good win for Tim Bailey in the “C” Final, Ian Whiston took second place and Nick Wallace third.

Josh Flanagan won the “B” Final, Gavin Rice was second and Kayleigh Knight third, being just 0.71 seconds ahead of Dan Stones.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final from pole position on the start grid, a great evenings racing for “Team Norris” with Benn Norris taking second place. Simon Pole finished third, Adam Hancock fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth and Freddie Parker sixth.

14-05-24 Spring League Round 8

The penultimate round of the Spring League on a quite different design track layout to last week,. Louis Parker was the top qualifier with 38 laps followed by Karl Norris, Simon Pole and Kayleigh Knight all on 37 laps.

Joseph Norris was the winner of the “E” final with 27 laps being three laps clear of new member Paul Wallis in second place, Kevin Flamson finished third.

The “D” Final was won by Mike Simpson on 33 laps, there was a tremendous battle for second and third places between Gaz de Roeck and Kevin Morris. At the finish it was Gaz who was second by just 0.51 seconds ahead of Kevin.

Chelle Snowden set the quickest lap in the “C” Final and won the race on 36 laps. Nick Wallace took second place and Andy Hopper was third.

A great win for Noah Bailey in the “B” Final with 36 laps. Dan Stones was second and Gavin Rice third, both on 35 laps.

As usual the “A” Final was great to watch and was won by Louis Parker being just over five seconds ahead of Karl Norris, both drivers having 38 laps. Simon Pole took third place on 37 laps.

The final round of the Spring League will be held on Tuesday 28th of May, with the best seven from a possible nine round scores to count there could be significant changes to the present league positions.

07-05-24 Spring League Round 7

Karl Norris was top qualifier with 46 laps followed by Simon Pole in second place on 45 laps. There were six drivers on 44 laps, Chelle Snowden, Benn Norris, Josh Flanagan, Adam Hancock, Guy Rogers and Sam Pope.

Finals

Louis Speight was the winner of the “D” Final by five laps, with Paul Carter taking second place on 32 laps, Kevin Flamson was third with 31 and Barry Thomas fourth on 21 laps

A good performance from Steven Myall won him the “C” Final with 39 laps, Caleb Jones took second place being a lap down. Gaz de Roeck was third and Jacob Milne fourth.

The “B” Final was very competitive providing a very close finish, Sam Pope was the winner, Kayleigh Knight second, Lee Speight third, and Noah Bailey fourth.

The “A” Final saw a tremendous battle for the win between Karl Norris and Simon Pole. Both drivers setting the equal fastest lap time of the evening of 7.64 seconds and finished with 45 laps, Karl winning by just under a second from Simon. There were three drivers with 44 laps, Josh Flanagan was third , Benn Norris fourth and Chelle Snowen fifth. Adam Hancock finished sixth and Guy Rogers seventh, both with 43 laps. What a tremendous race to conclude the evening!
