10-05-22 May Clubnight

An ordinary club-night this week with the usual three qualifying rounds and a final.

Qualifying
Louis Parker was top qualifier followed by Simon Pole, both drivers having 38 laps. Chelle Snowden was third with 37 laps, there were four drivers on 35 laps, Adam Hancock, Bob Harley and Freddie Parker who took the remaining A Final places, and Saul Theobold who took pole position in the B Final.


Finals
A convincing win for Richard Bates in the C Final with 32 Laps, it was close for second and third places between Caleb Jones and Ian Craig with Ian finishing ahead to take second place and Caleb was third, both drivers with 25 laps.

Dan Stones was the winner of the B Final on 35 Laps with pole position driver Saul Theobold finishing second on 34 laps just over two seconds ahead of Mike Simpson in third.

The highlight of the evening was the A Final, with no championship points at stake the drivers elected to have a reverse grid start. So Freddie Parker in his first A Final started from pole position with top qualifier Louis Parker at the back of the grid.

Freddie made a great start and was the race leader for the first four laps of the race when Chelle Snowden took over the lead which she held until the halfway point. Louis Parker then made it to the front with Simon Pole second, Chelle third, Freddie fourth, Adam Hancock fifth and Bob Harley sixth. The race continued at a fast pace to a very close finish, Louis being the winner with 37 laps, Chelle Snowden finishing in second place 2.6 seconds adrift and 0.63 seconds ahead of Simon Pole in third place. Freddie Parker was fourth with 36 laps, Adam Hancock fifth on 34 and Bob Harley sixth with 32.

A fantastic race to watch and a great evening for “Team Parker”

03-05-22 Spring League Round 7

Round 7 of the Spring League this week, Louis Parker was top qualifier with 42 Laps, Karl Norris was second on 41 with Kayleigh Knight and Simon Pole third and fourth respectively on 40 Laps.


The “C” Final was won by Mike Simpson a lap clear of both Paul Dewsnap in second place and Adam Cowell third who also had the quickest lap-time of the race.

The “B” Final was a great race with the first four drivers finishing less than seven seconds apart on 38 laps. Chelle Snowden was the winner, Bob Harley finished second. An outstanding performance from Saul Theobold earned him third place ahead of Dan Stones who finished fourth. Well done Saul!

The “A” Final provided a great race between Louis Parker and Karl Norris, with Louis wining on 41 Laps, a lap ahead of Karl on 40. It was also very close for the remaining places with Kayleigh Knight, Benn Norris, Simon Pole and Nick Wallace all finishing with 38 Laps.  A great finish to the evenings racing.

26-04-2022 April Clubnight

Karl Norris was top qualifier with 41 laps on a track design very similar to last week. There were five drivers all on 39 laps, Nick Wallace, Bob Harley, Mckenzie Wallace, Benn Norris and Kayleigh Knight taking second, third fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively with Dan Stones earning the remaining A final place with 38 laps.

Finals
First up was the “C” final which produced a thrilling finish with Richard Bates starting from last place on the grid catching and overtaking the leader Euan Lees on the final lap to win the race. Euan was second and Caleb Jones third.

The “B” Final soon developed into a battle between pole position driver Freddie Parker and car 3 Adam Hancock, It was a very close race right to the finish with Adam being the eventual winner by four seconds, Freddie was second and Mike Simpson third.

The “A” Final was won by Karl Norris with 40 laps, Kayleigh Knight took second place on 39 laps. McKenzie Wallace, Dan Stones and Nick Wallace were third, fourth and fifth with 38 laps. Bob Harley finished sixth with 37 and Benn Norris seventh on 36.

Next week is Round 7 of the Spring League.

19-04-22 Superleague Round 2

A great result for “Team Norris” in the qualifying with Karl Norris in first place, Benn Norris second and Kayleigh Knight third. Nick Wallace was fourth with Bob Harley taking the remaining place in the A Final being just over half a second quicker than Simon Pole.

Paul Dewsnap won the “C” Final, Richard Bates was second and Ben Theobold third.

The “B” Final winner was Dan Stones after overtaking Simon Pole on the last lap. Mike Simpson took third place following another very close race with Freddie Parker.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final from pole position on the grid, Benn Norris had a tremendous drive to finish in second position, being just one lap down. Nick Wallace and Bob Harley were third and fourth respectively, both two laps behind Benn.

12-04-22 Spring League Round 6

An excellent evenings racing.


Louis Parker was top qualifier and went on to win the “A” Final making it three wins from three rounds raced.
Karl Norris finished in second place, Chelle Snowden was third, Kayleigh Knight fourth, Bob Harley fifth and McKenzie Wallace sixth – extending his run of maximum points in the F2 League to six.

In the “B” Final Benn Norris was the winner, Freddie Parker had a great drive to take second place ahead of Adam Hancock with Richard Parker fourth.

Well done to Saul Theobold in winning the “C” Final, Paul Dewsnap took second place, Euan Lees was third and Ian Craig fourth.

Next week is Round 2 of the 2022 Superleague.

05-04-22 Spring League Round 5

Round 5 of the Spring League this week using a new track design.

After the three qualifying rounds Karl Norris was quickest just ahead of Louis Parker with Chelle Snowden, Simon Pole and Kayleigh Knight being two laps down in third, fourth and fifth places respectively.

Richard Bates was the winner of the “C” Final being four seconds ahead of Caleb Jones in second place with Ian Craig finishing third.

Bob Harley had a good win from pole position in the “B” Final, Nick Wallace took second place, Adam Hancock was third with Freddie Parker less than a second behind in fourth place.

An exciting “A” Final with some superb racing, Louis Parker won with 40 laps, Karl Norris was just under two seconds adrift in second place. McKenzie Wallace finished third and Chelle Snowden fourth, both drivers with 38 laps.

Another exciting evenings racing, it was good to see so many great performances from our junior members.

29-03-22 Spring League Round 4

Just sixteen drivers this week but still a great evenings racing.

Qualifying
After the three qualifying rounds Chelle Snowden was quickest and took pole position in the A Final with McKenzie Wallace just two seconds slower, both drivers on 38 laps. Richard Norris had 37 laps, Dan Stones 36, with Nick Wallace and Bob Harley both 35 laps to complete the A Final line up.

Finals
The C Final was won by Adam Cowell with 32 laps, second place driver was Richard Bates on 31 laps and also setting the quickest lap time of the race. Euan Lees was third, Ian Craig fourth and Kevin Bates fifth – all with 24 laps.

Mike Simpson was the B Final winner on 34 laps with Freddie Parker in second place on the same lap and also having the quickest lap time of the race. Saul Theobold was third with 32 laps, Paul Dewsnap fourth on 30 laps ahead of visiting driver Josh Flanagan with 21.

The A Final saw a great race between Chelle Snowden and McKenzie Wallace with Chelle being the winner by 3.57 seconds, on 37 laps – well done both drivers!. Dan Stones also put in a great performance to take third place on 36 laps ahead of Bob Harley on 35.

After four rounds Bob Harley is now the leader of the F1 League, Chelle Snowden second and Nick Wallace third.
McKenzie Wallace has maximum points in F2 with Dan Stones in second place and Mike Simpson third.
Saul Theobold leads F3, Euan Lees is second and Kevin Bates third.
Remember there are nine rounds in the League and the best six from a possible nine round scores will count.

22-03-22 Spring Trophy Meeting

The first trophy meeting of the year was very competitive, producing some exciting racing, trophies being awarded to the top four drivers in each final.

Ian Craig was the winner of the C Final ahead of Caleb Jones in second place with Kevin Bates taking third and Euan Lees was fourth.

Benn Norris won the B Final being two laps clear of Saul Theobold who had a great drive to take second place, Mike Simpson was third and Richard Bates fourth.

In the A Final Karl Norris was the winner, McKenzie Wallace was just over half a lap down in second place, Kayleigh Knight took third place and Bob Harley finished fourth just ahead of Dan Stones.

The trophies were presented by Bob Harley – yes he won one as well!

15-03-22 March Clubnight

Another good evenings racing with the usual three qualifying rounds and a final.


The D Final was won by Richard Bates, ahead of Paul Dewsnap who was under two seconds adrift. Caleb Jones took third place and Kevin Bates fourth.

The C Final was very close with Mike Simpson snatching a win in the final few laps from Saul Theobold. Adam Cowell finished third and Tommy Bates fourth.

In the B Final the first three drivers finished on the same lap. Bob Harley was the winner, Mckenzie Wallace second, Nick Wallace third and Dan Stones fourth.

We were then all treated to a tremendous A Final with Louis Parker winning for the second week running, Karl Norris being second and Simon Pole third all with 39 laps. Kayleigh Knight finished fourth on 38 and Ben Norris fifth with 37 laps. A great end to the evenings racing.

08-03-22 Spring League Round 3

Round three of the Spring League, the track being similar to the previous week.

Three qualifying rounds and a final with some very close racing.

Louis Parker was top qualifier followed by Karl Norris and Chelle Snowden.

Tommy Bates won the D Final with Richard Bates in second place, Caleb Jones third and Kevin Bates fourth – who will be the top driver in the Bates family next week?????

The C Final soon developed into a battle between the two Adams with Adam Hancock being the winner, Adam Cowell finishing in second place and Saul Theobold third.

Just three cars remained in the B Final after the first minutes racing and all being closely matched for speed it was an exciting race right to the finish. Mike Simpson was the eventual winner, Freddie Parker finished second and Dan Stones third.

Louis Parker won a great A Final, Karl Norris was second, Chelle Snowden third and Richard Norris fourth.

The Winter League trophies were presented by Chelle Snowden, well done to everyone, especially the league winners Karl Norris, Benn Norris, Adam Cowell and Freddie Parker.
