19-07-22 Summer League R3

A fast, flowing track design this week for round 3 on the summer league.


Qualifying

Karl Norris was again top qualifier with 43 laps, Chelle Snowden and Justin Heath were second and third on 42 laps with Adam Hancock, Dan Stones and Kayleigh Knight all having 41 laps.

Finals
Caleb Jones won the “D” final being a lap ahead of new member Gaz de Roeck in second place and Kevin Flamson third.

In the “C” Final Freddie Parker was the winner, Saul Theobold took second place with new member Leon Janyshiwskyj third.

Kayleigh Knight won the “B” Final, Nick Wallace was second and Benn Norris third.

In the “A” Final Karl Norris matched his 43 laps in qualifying to win, Justin Heath finished second with 41 laps just ahead of Adam Hancock in third place also with 41 laps.

Neat week is round 4 of the summer league.

12-07-22 July Clubnight

A break from the league this week, just fifteen drivers but still a great evenings racing.

Qualifying
Karl Norris was top qualifier with 38 laps, with four drivers on 37 laps – Justin heath, Dan Stones, Kayleigh Knight and Adam Hancock taking second, third, fourth and fifth places respectively and making the “A” Final.

Finals
The “C” Final was won by Mike Simpson with Adam Cowell taking second place and Caleb Jones third.

Chelle Snowden driving Nick Wallace’s car was the “B” Final winner, Benn Norris took second place and Bob Harley finished third.

Another great “A” Final this week with Karl Norris winning with 38 laps, good performances also from Kayleigh Knight in second place , Justin Heath third and Dan Stones fourth all on 37 laps as in qualifying.

The Summer League resumes with Round 3 next week.

05-07-22 Summer League R2

A Paul Dewsnap track design this week.


Qualifying
Chelle Snowden was the top qualifier with a great drive in the third qualifying round to take pole position in the “A” Final. Karl Norris was second, Richard Norris third, Kayleigh Knight fourth, Benn Norris fifth, Adam Hancock sixth and Bob Harley seventh to complete the “A” Final line up.

Finals
First up was the “D” Final where Nick Wallace after having had problems with his car in qualifying was the winner, visiting driver Noah Valaggio took second place and Ian Craig was third.

The “C” Final was keenly contested with Paul Dewsnap took the win, (must have been a good track design!), Euan Lees was second and Saul Theobold third less than two seconds behind Euan.

Guy Rogers was the winner of the “B” Final with Dan Stones close behind in second place, Mike Simpson finished third.

Just the “A” final left to run, could Chelle Snowden capitalise on her pole position and win the race. Wow it was very close, a great race to watch this with Karl Norris winning just over a second ahead of Chelle, these two being a lap ahead of Richard Norris in third place and Benn Norris fourth. Bob Harley was fifth, Adam Hancock sixth and Kayleigh Knight seventh. Yes there were a lot of Norris’s in the race!

28-06-22 Summer League R 1

A great start to the new league!

QUALIFYING

After three rounds of qualifying Karl Norris was quickest with 39 Laps, Bob Harley was second just in front on Kayleigh Knight in third place, both with 38 laps. Following these were a total of seven drivers on 37 laps with less than six seconds between them, setting up the prospect of some very close finals.

Before the Finals Bob Harley presented the Spring League Trophies to the winners present.

Finals

First up was the “D” Final where Caleb Jones had an excellent race to win by three laps from Kevin Flamson in second place. Fast improving Kevin Bates took third place and Ian Craig was fourth.

In the “C” Final Mike Simpson won by a lap from Richard Bates, Adam Cowell was third and Paul Dewsnap fourth.

Chelle Snowden was the winner in the “B” Final by just under a lap from Freddie Parker in second place who also set the fastest lap in the race. Dan Stones was just two seconds back in third place, Adam Hancock was fourth and Nick Wallace fifth.

Just the “A” Final remaining where “Team Norris” took the first three places for the third consecutive week. Karl Norris won and also set the fastest lap, Kayleigh Knight was second and Benn Norris third. Bob Harley was fourth and Justin Heath fifth.

Next week is round 2 of the Summer League, booking in via text message to the clubs mobile as usual..

21-06-22 Summer Trophy Meeting

Three qualifying rounds and a Final as usual for the Summer Trophy Meeting.


The top two places in the “C” Final went to new members, with Jack Southin winning and Chris Prophet taking second place. Adam Cowell was third.

Freddie Parker had a fine win in the “B” Final, Adam Hancock and Nick Wallace finished second and third respectively.

For the second week running the “Team Norris” took the first three places in the “A” Final. Karl Norris was the winner, Benn Norris second and Kayleigh Knight third.

The trophies were presented at the end of the evening by Courtney Orme.

14-06-22 Superleague Round 3

The track this week was designed by Simon Pole and produced some very close racing.


A great evening for “Team Norris” taking the first three places in the “A” Final.
Karl Norris was the winner, Benn Norris finished second and Kayleigh Knight third. Dan Stones was fourth and Adam Hancock fifth.

Simon Pole won the “B” Final ahead of Freddie Parker, Saul Theobold was third, Mike Simpson fourth and Nick Wallace fifth.

Richard Bates was the winner of the “C” final being a lap clear of Adam Cowell in second place, Caleb Jones finished third and Kevin Bates fourth.

We are now half way through the Superleague with the best 4 from a possible 6 round scores to count.

Next week is the Summer Trophy Meeting.

07-06-22 Clubnight

An ordinary club-night prior to the third round of the 2022 Superleague to be held next week.


After the three qualifying rounds Darren Ford was the top qualifier, a lap clear of Karl Norris, Simon Pole and Kayleigh Knight, with Benn Norris, Nick Wallace and Bob Harley all a further lap down.

Mike Simpson won the “C” Final with Euan Lees a lap behind in second place and Paul Carter third, just ahead of Caleb Jones.

A very close “B” Final with the first three drivers finishing on the same lap. The Club Chairman Bob Harley was the victor, Dan Stones was just under three seconds behind in second place and Chelle Snowden finished third.

Darren Ford was on pole position for the start of the “A” final, an exciting race this with Karl Norris winning on 40 laps, Darren finishing in second place with 39 and the remaining drivers Simon Pole, Kayleigh Knight, Nick Wallace and Benn Norris all completing 38 laps. A very competitive race!

31-05-22 Spring League Round 9

A new Paul Dewsnap track design this week for the final round of the Spring League.
It was good to see Paul Galbraith and Darren Ford racing again at the club.


After the qualifying Karl Norris was quickest followed by Kayleigh Knight, Chelle Snowden, Darren Ford and Bob Harley.

The “D” Final was won by Nick Wallace, Caleb Jones was second, Kevin Bates third and Ian Craig fourth.

Visiting driver Josh Flanagan was the winner of the “C” Final being a lap ahead of Richard Bates and Paul Galbraith who were second and third respectively with Paul Dewsnap fourth a further two laps down.

Dan Stones had a good win in the “B” Final, Benn Norris finished in second place, Adam Hancock third, Freddie Parker fourth and Mike Simpson fifth.

Just the “A” Final left with second and third league positions yet to be decided. Karl Norris was the winner, Darren Ford was second, Kayleigh Knight took third place, Chelle Snowden fourth and Bob Harley fifth.

24-05-22 Spring League Round 8

The penultimate round of the Spring League this week.

Top qualifier was Karl Norris on 36 laps with Simon Pole, Kayleigh Knight and Chelle Snowden in second, third and fourth places with 35 laps.


Caleb Jones was the winner of the “D” Final being just over a lap ahead of second place driver Kevin Bates, Kevin Flamson finished third.

Another good week for Saul Theobold who won the “C” Final, Mike Simpson was second and Richard Bates third.

A close finish in the “B” Final with Nick Wallace winning and Dan Stones taking second place being just over two seconds adrift. Bob Harley and Adam Hancock were third and fourth being a lap down on the leaders.

Yet another exciting “A” Final with Karl Norris winning by just over two seconds from Simon Pole, both with 35 laps. Kayleigh Knight was third on 33 laps with Chelle Snowden in Fourth less than a second behind Kayleigh. McKenzie Wallace was the best junior member taking fifth place, Benn Norris was sixth.

The Final round of the Spring league is next Tuesday 31st May.

17-05-2022 Clubnight

An additional Clubnight this month with some close competitive racing, three qualifying rounds and a final as usual.

Visiting driver Josh Flanagan won the “C” Final being two laps up on Richard Bates with Paul Carter taking third place a further lap down.

In the B Final Saul Theobold and Freddie Parker had a very close race with Saul winning, Freddie finishing in second place and Dan Stones third.

Karl Norris was the A Final winner being exactly seven seconds ahead of second place driver Simon Pole, Chelle Snowden was third, Kayleigh Knight fourth, Benn Norris fifth, Bob Harley sixth and Nick Wallace seventh.

Next week, Tuesday 24th May is Round 8 of the Spring League with the Final Round being held on Tuesday 31st May.

With several the top three places in each league yet to be decided I am sure it they be a very competitive evenings.
