20-12-22 No racing due to power cut

Unfortunately, despite the best efforts from everyone it was not possible to race this Tuesday evening due to the loss of the Electricity supply to Gresley Old Hall.

The XMAS Trophy meeting will now take place on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 and will include the trophy presentation for the 2022 Superleague. (Booking in as usual by text message to the Clubs Mobile)

NOTE THAT THERE IS NO RACING ON TUESDAY 27th DECEMBER.

13-12-22 Clubnight

An ordinary Clubnight this week, Louis Parker again being top qualifier and Karl Norris second, both drivers having 42 Laps, Richard Norris was third with 41. Adam Hancock, McKenzie Wallace, Richard Hicklin and Kayleigh Knight were all on 40 laps.


Paul Carter was the winner of the “D” Final with Ian Whiston taking second place and Caleb Jones third.

Freddie Parker had a comfortable win in the “C” Final, Mike Simpson finished in second place with Nick Wallace having to retire after seven laps.

Richard Hicklin won the “B” final being just under two seconds ahead of Justin Heath in second place with Bob Harley finishing third.

A great “A” Final with Louis Parker winning, Karl Norris taking second place, Richard Norris third, Adam Hancock fourth and McKenzie Wallace fifth.

Next Tuesday the 20th December is the Christmas Trophy meeting, the trophies for 2022 Superleague will also be presented.

Membership for 2023 is available at race control.

06-12-22 Superleague R6

The final round of the 2022 Superleague which has been run on alternate months throughout the year, with the best four from a possible six round scores to count.


After the three qualifying rounds Louis Parker was the quickest with 43 laps being a lap clear of Karl Norris in second place with Richard Hicklin and Justin Heath 41 laps, followed by Simon Pole, Adam Hancock and Nick Wallace on 40.

Louis won the “A” Final with Karl Norris taking second place and Simon Pole third.

Kayleigh Knight was the winner of the “B” Final, with Bob Harley taking second place just four seconds adrift and Freddie Parker was third.

Caleb Jones had a good win in the “C” Final, Ian Whiston was second and Paul Carter third.

29-11-22 Winter League R6

A new track design this week for round six of the winter league provided a good test for all of the drivers.

The “A” Final was won by Karl Norris who finished just two seconds in front of Richard Hicklin, McKenzie Wallace took third place and was the best Junior Member with 38 laps, a lap down on the leader.

Nick Wallace won a close “B” Final with the top three drivers all completing 38 laps, Jack Walsh was second and also set the quickest lap in the race, Dan stones finished third.

A win for Caleb Jones in the “C” final with 31 laps, Ian Whiston took second place just under four seconds behind with Gaz de Roeck in third place a lap adrift.

22-11-22 Winter League R5

Round 5 of the Winter League with the best seven from a possible ten round scores to count.

Louis Parker was the top qualifier with 45 laps, Karl Norris was second on 44 laps, with McKenzie Wallace, Richard Hicklin and Richard Norris all with 43 laps.


Finals
A good win for Caleb Jones in the “D” Final, being three laps ahead of Kevin Flamson and Gaz de Roeck.

The drivers in the “C” Final were well matched for speed, Freddie Parker with some great driving was the winner, visiting driver Peter Lax was second and Bob Harley third.

Nick Wallace, starting from third place on the grid was in top form winning the race with 41 laps, the other four drivers completed 40 laps with Adam Hancock taking second place, Dan Stones third, Jack Walsh fourth and Kayleigh Knight fifth. A good race this!!

The “A” Final was run at a very fast pace, Louis Parker was the winner on 45 laps ahead of Karl Norris in second place with 44 and Richard Hicklin third on 43.

08-11-22 November Clubnight

A great evenings racing with some close results in all the four finals.


Caleb Jones won the “D” Final with 34 laps with Gaz de Roeck in second place on 33 laps and Joseph Norris taking third place with 31.

Jack Walsh was in the lead from the start to finish of the race to win the “C” Final with an impressive 40 laps. Alfie Hart took second place with some great driving on 39 laps, Mike Simpson was third on 38.

In the “B” Final Adam Hancock was the winner with Dan Stones in second place, both being getting 41 Laps, Nick Wallace was third and Bob Harley fourth, both with 40 laps.

The “A” Final result was extremely close with Louis Parker taking the win with a superb 44 Laps by the small margin of 0.22 seconds from Karl Norris in second place with Richard Hicklin finishing third just over 2 seconds behind the leader.

A tremendous race to complete the evenings racing.

01-11-22 Winter League R3

Three qualifying rounds and a final as usual produced another great evenings racing. James Hart was top qualifier with 41 laps, Karl Norris, Richard Hicklin and Richard Norris were second, third and fourth on 40 laps with Justin Heath, Kayleigh Knight and McKenzie Wallace fifth, sixth and seventh with 39 laps, these drivers making up the “A” Final.


Following the qualifying, the trophies for the Summer League were presented prior to the finals by Chelle Snowden – apologies for the blurred photo!

A fine win for Gaz de Roeck in the “D” final by five laps from second place driver Kevin Bates, with Kevin Flamson finishing third.

A good start to the finals for “Team Hart” with Alfie winning the “C” final being two laps clear of second place driver Richard Bates with Ian Whiston just 0.32 seconds adrift in third – that was a close finish!

With the first four drivers all on 38 laps with four seconds separating them, the “B” final was a very competitive race. Nick Wallace was the winner, Jack Walsh was second with another good result for “Team Hart”, Dan Stones finished third and Bob Harley fourth.

Just the “A” final to go with James Hart starting from pole position on the grid, a tremendous race to watch this, run at a very fast pace. At the finish James was the winner, Karl Norris was second, Richard Hicklin third ,Justin Heath fourth, McKenzie Wallace fifth and Kayleigh Knight sixth. A great conclusion to the evenings racing.

25-10-22 Winter League R2

The Club is now using the latest 2022 version of RC-Timing software with live results available to view on the RC-Timing.com website.

Twenty-three drivers for round 2 of the league, Karl Norris being top qualifier being the only driver with 39 laps. Richard Hicklin was second with the best time of the drivers with 38 laps, ahead of McKenzie Wallace, Justin Heath and Chelle Snowden

Finals
Caleb Jones won the “D” Final being a lap clear of Ian Whiston in second place and Ethen Wardle in third.

In the “C” Final Saul Theobold was the winner, Euan Lees finished in second place and Mike Simpson third.

Adam Hancock starting from pole position was the winner of the “B” Final, Freddie Parker took second place with a fine drive ahead of Bob Harley in third.

As usual the “A” Final was closely contested, Karl Norris won with Richard Hicklin setting the fastest lap and finishing in second place, both drivers on 39 laps. Justin Heath took third place and Kayleigh Knight fourth, both on 38 laps.

Next week is round 3 of the Winter League, the Summer League Trophies will also be presented.

18-10-22 Winter League R1

The Club is now using the latest 2022 version of RC-Timing software with live results available to view on the RC-Timing.com website.

Qualifying
Twenty-four drivers this evening for the first round of the Winter League.

It was very close in the qualifying with Karl Norris being quickest overall in first round, Richard Norris leading after round 2 and Karl regaining the advantage over Richard by just over a second in the third round. Chelle Snowden was third, McKenzie Wallace fourth, Justin Heath fifth, Adam Hancock sixth and Simon Pole seventh.

Finals
Euan Lees had a comfortable win in the “D” Final being two laps ahead of Ian Whiston in second place and Gaz de Roeck in third. Well done to Ethan Wardle who finished fourth in his first ever race.

Jack Walsh was the quickest driver in the “C” Final but had to settle for second place behind the winner Freddie Parker who was just under a lap ahead. Saul Theobold took third place on the same lap as Jack. It is good to see great performances from our junior members.

The “B” Final saw a close finish with Kayleigh Knight taking the win 1.5 seconds ahead of Josh Flanagan with Mike Simpson and Bob Harley finishing third and fourth respectively, both being a lap down on the leader.

The “A” Final soon developed into a tremendous battle between Karl Norris starting from pole position being chased by car 2 Richard Norris, who eventually took over the lead on lap 12 as the were both overtaking other cars. With the roles now reversed it was Karl who was chasing Richard at high speed, Karl took the lead again on lap 20 and was the winner by just over a second from Richard – both drivers having 39 laps. All the other five drivers finished on 37 Laps with less than four seconds between them. McKenzie Wallace being third, Adam Hancock fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth, Simon Pole sixth and Justin Heath seventh.
