A similar track design to last week again producing some quick lap times.
Qualifying
Karl Norris was the only driver to record a sub eight second lap and also took pole position in the “A” Final with 44 laps, it was close though with Richard Norris just 1.08 seconds adrift in second place. There were four drivers on 42 laps, the quickest being McKenzie Wallace followed by Adam Hancock, Dan Stones and Kayleigh Knight – all making he “A” Final.
Finals
First up was the “C” Final, Caleb Jones set the quickest lap in the race but finished in second place behind the winner Gary de Roeck, Ian Craig finished third.
In the “B” Final Benn Norris looked to have the race won, but made a slight error right near the end of the race and Nick Wallace was quick to take advantage to take the win. Leon Janyshiwskyj also had a good drive to take third place.
The last race of the evening the “A” Final did not disappoint, Karl Norris improved on his best qualifying lap time by 0.04 seconds, again being the only driver to break eight seconds. Richard Norris came close with 8.0 seconds dead!
A superb race this with just 1.14 seconds separating the two drivers at the finish, Karl winning and Richard being second. Behind these two McKenzie Wallace had a superb drive to take third place with 42 laps, Dan Stones was fourth, Adam Hancock fifth and Kayleigh Knight sixth all with 41 laps. A great conclusion to the evenings racing.
Many thanks to Courtney Orme at race control and everyone who helped set up and store away all the equipment.
