Finals
Mardave “B” Final
As indicated by the qualifying this proved to be a Jenson Butlin victory, some excellent driving gave him a 2 lap win over Jordan Galbraith and a further lap down Joshua Galbraith. Well done Jenson, only 2 more rounds left for anyone to catch him in the league.
Mardave “A” Final
This was a great race with all cars very evenly matched for speed on a track design that made overtaking very difficult. Lee was on pole and built up an early lead, however after a couple of minor errors Mike Simpson took the lead on lap 11. With Mike, Lee and Paul Galbraith only separated by a few seconds the pressure was on not to make any mistakes. Lee continued to reel in Mike’s lead and in the last 30 seconds of the race attempted to overtake which all went wrong leaving Mike to cruise to victory with 32 laps. An excellent race to watch, Lee finishing second and Paul third – all on the same lap.
GT12 “B” Final
Another good race for Graham Oxford, leading the race from start to finish with 31 laps, Nick Wallace was second on 30 and Jack Cook third with 25 laps.
GT12 “A” Final
David Hall was on pole position and with a good start and with his performance in qualifying it was going to be difficult for anyone to catch him. This proved to be the case as David set the fastest lap time of 9.20 seconds to win with 37 laps. His nearest challenger was David Simpson who finished second also on 37 laps and Daniel Williams was third with 35 laps.
