Round 4 of the 2019 Superleague on a fast track design with some new flexible corner markers, many thanks to Bob Harley for making them.
Darren Ford was the top qualifier in the GT12 Class, it was very close with the first four drivers all finishing on 41 laps. Karl Norris in second place , Bob Harley was very quick and took third and Chelle Snowden fourth.
In LMP12 Ashley King was best, just ahead of Steve Donald, both drivers on 60 laps – Steve having the fastest lap.
Finals
First up was the GT12 C Final where Kaelin Thompson was the winner from James Krych in second place and Saul Theobold third.
McKenzie Wallace won the B Final by just 0.28 seconds in a thrilling finish, getting ahead of second place driver Dan Williams on the final lap – well done McKenzie! Nick Wallace finished a lap down in third place.
An even closer result in the A Final which was a tremendous race with Darren Ford winning by just 0.26 seconds from Karl Norris after racing wheel to wheel for most of the race. Bob Harley continued his good form, his car flying round the track to take third place.
It was an evening for close finishes with the first three drivers in the LMP12 final all getting 59 laps. Ashley King was the winner and set the fastest lap, a great drive from Simon Pole earned him second place and Steve Donald was third.
A very entertaining evenings racing, just two rounds of the Superleague remain, to be held in October and December.
Next week is an ordinary Clubnight.
