Three qualifying rounds and a final as usual produced another great evenings racing. James Hart was top qualifier with 41 laps, Karl Norris, Richard Hicklin and Richard Norris were second, third and fourth on 40 laps with Justin Heath, Kayleigh Knight and McKenzie Wallace fifth, sixth and seventh with 39 laps, these drivers making up the “A” Final.
Following the qualifying, the trophies for the Summer League were presented prior to the finals by Chelle Snowden – apologies for the blurred photo!
A fine win for Gaz de Roeck in the “D” final by five laps from second place driver Kevin Bates, with Kevin Flamson finishing third.
A good start to the finals for “Team Hart” with Alfie winning the “C” final being two laps clear of second place driver Richard Bates with Ian Whiston just 0.32 seconds adrift in third – that was a close finish!
With the first four drivers all on 38 laps with four seconds separating them, the “B” final was a very competitive race. Nick Wallace was the winner, Jack Walsh was second with another good result for “Team Hart”, Dan Stones finished third and Bob Harley fourth.
Just the “A” final to go with James Hart starting from pole position on the grid, a tremendous race to watch this, run at a very fast pace. At the finish James was the winner, Karl Norris was second, Richard Hicklin third ,Justin Heath fourth, McKenzie Wallace fifth and Kayleigh Knight sixth. A great conclusion to the evenings racing.
Thanks to everyone who helped set up and store away all the equipment.
